Los Angeles County Flavor Ban Meeting October 2

/Los Angeles County Flavor Ban Meeting October 2

THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED.

The previous date shown here was September 25th but the Supervisors will not be taking in public comment at that time on the motion that was made by Mr. Thomas. The date for public comment and the County moving forward on this will be OCTOBER 2ND instead.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors will be holding a meeting on OCTOBER 2 at 9:30am to discuss directing the county staff to write a comprehensive tobacco control ordinance that includes a flavor ban component. This is a motion by Supervisor Mark Ridley Thomas which also includes limiting the number of retailers in the county and a range of other restrictions.

According to date there are around 9809 licensed tobacco retailers licensed by the State to sell tobacco products throughout the County. 691 of those are licensed to conduct business in the unincorporated areas of the County and 77 of those are licensed as “smoke shops”. The County is not making a distinction between vapor product retailers and other tobacco retailers.

Be there. Speak up.

9:30 AM
KENNETH HAHN HALL OF ADMINISTRATION
ROOM 381B
500 WEST TEMPLE STREET
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA 90012

I was a smoker for 15 years and pick up a ecig cant remember the favor but if they ban favors and only use menthol and tabcoo favors a lot of people will go back to smoke cigarette and that a shame because of vaping I can smile and taste a lot more and I’m not sick all the damn time the big tabcoo company are trying to ban it or the favors so they can bring up their revenues and make more money shame on them for wanting to make people sick all the time with their poisons in the tabcoo write and tell your Congress to stop trying to ban favors on vaping if not then your not voting for them jack offs.
