The city of Santa Cruz will likely be introducing an ordinance to prohibit the sale of flavored tobacco and vapor products on November 13. While this has not been confirmed on the city’s agenda yet there is a strong possibility this item will be on there. Keep an eye on the city’s agenda on Thursday November 8th. We believe three options will be introduced by the Vice Mayor:
- A total flavor ban.
- A partial flavor ban with exemptions for adult-only tobacco retailers.
- A partial flavor ban in areas within 600 feet of schools, playgrounds, parks, and libraries.
Watch this space for updates around the November 8th date and pencil in the November 13th because it is critical for business owners and consumers, especially constituents in the city of Santa Cruz, to provide their input on this matter.
